Keyur Sorathia
Fascinated with immense power of technology and its abilities to change the way we live, Keyur Sorathia, Interaction Designer, is interested in blending technology & design to enhance our everyday life experiences. To support his interests, he actively engaged with design research, physical computing, tangible interaction and interactive installation.
Currently he is working as Design Teaching Associate with Industrial Design Center (IDC), Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Bombay, India. He is responsible for teaching physical computing, new modes of interactions, prototyping and interactive installation. He has published a research paper and a position paper in IMC 2009 and CHI 2009 respectively. During his masters, his project “Two Halves” was selected in “Salone Del Mobile” design festival in 2007 in Milan. He also has hands on experience with ethnography studies, web & mobile applications for rural India.
He is an undergraduate in Electrical Engineering and holds a master degree in Interaction Design from Interaction Design Institute/Domus Academy, Milan, Italy in 2007. Since then he has been associated with IIT Bombay on several projects. He has also worked with clients like Idean-the next big things, Desolve Strategic Design & Nokia.
He likes traveling around the world (if he has money
), meet people of different culture, plays table tennis, cricket and n number of games. He is fond of Italian, Lebanese & Turkish food and loves Italian wine. (specially Chianti Classico)
