save our tigers

Generally i do not write non-interaction design topics on my blog, but this is something worth writing and needs an attention. Tiger is India’s national animal and unfortunate thing is, we have only 1411 tigers left. I do not know till what extent i can do, but i can for sure try and create awareness about it..write a blog, join facebook & twitter “save tiger” communities and for sure write a post on my blog.
Last decade we had around 40,000 tigers and now only 1411. Atleast we can join different communities and create awareness as much as possible.
persona or personalization

Just now i installed firefox on my father’s laptop and figured out different themes to set up. Interesting thing is, they have written “create your personas and personalize look on your firefox“. As far as my knowledge goes, generally persona is a word used by designers, do non-designers, non techy people use word “persona”.
I was wondering how many people really understood the term. By the way, i added “tiger” theme for the cause of saving tigers as we have only 1411 tigers left.
alarm clock with a brochure?? .. you must be kidding!!

Yes, thats true. And that too from Sony. An alarm clock with a brochure saying “how to set alarm”. Though it is a CD player which has alarm clock inside, but seems like Sony has shortage of good designers.. no?

Another one, an interesting “exit” signage in a hotel of Las Vegas (Courtsey: good experience blog). Now after looking at this signage, i question myself, where do a person go to exit?

Recently i went to a famous electronic shop just to browse around new electronic artifacts coming in market. There i saw one interesting representation of LG mobile phone saying “interactive UI”. Now what does “interactive user interface” means, i didnt understand, but nice to share with.

May 6, 2009 at 4:24 am | Posted in 1 | 5 CommentsI am Prof. Anirudha Joshi are currently working on making a final scenario of our design 3D phonebook. We are almost done and trying to improve it, but while editing it, Prof. Joshi mentioned a scenario made by google which i thought i will share with you. Interesting way to make a scenario, simple and effective.
